Synopsis[]
Dylan Towser has world peace in his grasp with his missile disarmer. General Ryan Scarp brings him and the army to Saint Hopes for a drill day and to protect him from a kidnap scheme.
However, when Daisy Millar and Dylan are kidnapped from under their noses, Blane Whittaker realises Scarp is the culprit. He does not want an end to war, and only war will secure the military's funding. In the final battle, will the team emerge victorious?
Trivia[]
- The title is a reference to the "red button" used to launch missiles or declare panic.
- Ryan Scarp wrote a book about his military career in the SAS.
- Scarp's scheme was self-defeating. As "Endwar" showed, officers like Scarp would have been needed for ground warfare.
- The storyline is similar to "The Avengers" episode "The Morning After".
- The storyline is similar to the "G.I. Joe" episode "Sink the Montana!".
- This episode features "Nice!" magazine, which has also been mentioned in: "The Big Freeze", "You Can Call Me Al", "Evil by Design" and "The Big Bling".
- Goof: The copy of "Nice!" magazine Lenny Bicknall is reading at the start of the episode has the exact same back page as the copy of "Girly Talk" magazine Blane Whittaker uses to research Crush in "Eyes On Their Stars". This could not be a goof as the magazine was paid to use the same advertisement or used the same article to avoid writing a new article.
