Nerd Alert is episode 5 of Series 1.
Synopsis[]
Expert hacker, the Worm, has taken control of Britain's space defence system, leaving the country vulnerable to attack, and Blane Whittaker's brother, a special operations forces soldier, is in the firing line. The team's computer skills are no match for the Worm and they need help.
Rose Gupta devises a computer game to stop the hacker, but can Daisy Millar charm Stewart Critchley into playing? And can Stewart win when he has no idea real lives are at stake?

- The 5th Commando Regiment of the British Army was, like the real-life MI9, active during the Second World War.
- Daisy dubs herself and Stewart as "Posh and Specs", which is a reference to the celebrity supercouple of Victoria and David Beckham, more commonly known as "Posh and Becks".
- This episode marks the first appearance of the Worm.
- This episode marks the first appearance of a main character's family (Kyle Whittaker, Blane Whittaker's brother).
- Lenny mistakenly believes that Blane's favourite football team is Leyton Orient.
- Robert Llewellyn briefly returns as the Prime Minister after debuting in "The Sinister Prime Minister".
- Rose uses the "toilet routine" for the first time since "The Sinister Prime Minister".
- Miss Templeton said that Rose is in Year 9 so that means since Daisy and Blaine are in the same classes as Rose that makes them Year 9 as well.
